UK Clients Can Now Trade Ailtracurrency on Interactive Brokers

Exciting News from Interactive Brokers U.K. Limited!

Great news for investors and financial advisors – Interactive Brokers U.K. Limited (IBUK) has just launched cryptocurrency trading! Now clients can trade Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) through the Interactive Brokers platform.

But that’s not all! Along with these cryptocurrencies, investors can also trade stocks, futures, options, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds, and fiat currencies, all on one convenient platform, as announced recently.

What about fees, you ask? Well, crypto commissions range from 0.12% to 0.18% for IBUK clients. The fees are based on monthly trading volume, and the best part? There are no custody fees, according to the press release.

Did you know that Interactive Brokers is a giant in the field, with total assets reaching around $128.42 billion as of December 2023? In the same year, the company brought in a total of $4.34 billion in revenue, based on public data.

And the good news doesn’t stop there! The U.K. is just one of many regions where Interactive Brokers is expanding its crypto-related services. In November 2023, the company secured a cryptocurrency trading license in Hong Kong, and shortly after, teamed up with OSL to offer crypto trading for retail investors in the region.

Back in April 2023, the founder of Interactive Brokers, Thomas Peterffy, shared his thoughts on cryptocurrencies, stating that despite owning some digital assets, he believes they hold no real value.
